Questions,
answered plainly.
What you get, what it measures, and what it will never do.
What you get
What do I get after an event?
An evidence pack with the event window, the particulate trace and the sensor's status, plus a draft violation notice you can review and send. If a guest disputes the fee, a dispute file holds everything in one place.
How is this different from a smoke or noise alert?
An alert tells you something happened. Micromater is built around what comes next: the record, the notice and the dispute file you need to charge the fee your house rules already set.
Does it guarantee I collect the fee?
No. Guests and booking platforms make their own decisions. Micromater gives you an organized record to support the fee your rules already set.
Privacy and limits
Does it record people?
No. It measures particulate levels only. It has no microphone and no camera, so it records no conversations, photos or video.
Does it identify what someone vaped?
No. It flags particulate events consistent with vaping. It does not identify a substance or its chemistry.
Is an event enough to charge a fee?
An event starts the record. It does not decide anything. Cooking, candles and other sources can raise particulate levels, so you review each event and add context before you act.
How do I tell guests about it?
Disclose it before they book, in your listing and your house rules. Pilot properties get disclosure and placement guidance before installation.
The pilot
